And then there were five...

AfterKara Dioguardi told Sioban Mangus that she was "back in the game", Sioban was kicked off of season 9 of American Idol on Wednesday night after Simon accusing her of sounding like she was "giving birth". Mangnus has been known to have never conform to anything the judges asked for. What made her competition so intense, was that you never knew what you were going to get from her. Her unique style and vocal chords that could reach notes that were unheard of, everyone saw her as instant competition, and possible top three. Always good vocals, but songs that would make you wonder, "why?!" and outfits that cause you to ask if there was a mirror in her dressing room.

"Siobhan also said that she felt it was important to she the unique sides of her personality. "I've always been an independent person and a different kind of person, but I'm very stubborn and strong-willed," she says. "It's important for me to get that across, that I'm not going to change to please other people. I do what I do because it rests well on my heart.""
Mangnus' performances have included Paint it Black, Superstition, and Think. Many times, Wednesday's montages included Sioban being very upset with the judges comments and not being able to pin point what to fix in her performances.
While Sioban was performing, there were always some fans there for support which quickly took the names of "siobanbies"(fans dressed as zombies). At the end of her run, the judges gave her encouraging words about recording an album and whatever else her future holds.

Heartthrob Tim Urban

I watch American Idol every Tuesday and Wednesday nights. I love it, well, it's really a love hate relationship. You never know who is going home, even with it now narrowed down to seven contestants. Everyone is betting on Kristal Bowersox, even after her breakdown/threat to leave Idol (which really is a threat, people love her).
Kara Dioguardi always tells them that she wishes they would branch out, and choose something different. But when they do, they can pretty much kiss their chances of winning goodbye.

"Tim did well as long as he chose songs within his very limited vocal range," she said. "He made an ambitious song choice this week and it did him in. His pitchy, uneven vocals overruled his sincerity. Having said that, Tim didn't really have much left in his tank anyway. He had a good, solid run for a contestant with so few vocal gifts."

Tim had every thirteen year old girl with a cell phone voting for him every Tuesday night especially after his stage slide. He was constantly talked about for always smiling and having a good attitude. Amicable traits, right? Apparently not. The nice guy isn't going to win this time.
